Hong Kong or Bust!
Tomorrow we are getting a car to the airport at 7:30am and flying to Hong Kong. We'll be there for 4 nights and be back here in Manila next Wednesday.
It should be a great fun time and we'll be sure to share some pictures when we return.
Today Todd (one of Kendra's Accenture co-workers) and his wife Veena head back to the States (Atlanta to be precise). They were here for just 2 weeks, but we really enjoyed their company and hanging out together during their time here. Todd, if you didn't get a chance to pick up some cigars, I'll find some for you and track you down in Georgia sometime.
Tonight, the movie 12 Monkeys is on HBO here...it's always been one of my favorites, and now is interesting to watch with the whole bird-flu thing in mind.
Before we go, we'll leave you with a puzzle. Riding on the "DaVinci Code" media bandwagon, it's called "Decipher The Laundry Code". Our washer and dryer here have minds of their own. We've done dozens of loads of laundry but have yet to figure out any consistant pattern of behavior. Sometimes a load will spend over an hour in the washer for no apparent reason, or will fail to drain and we end up with a tidal wave when we open the door. It would be great if any of you could shed some light onto the assortment of codes and icons pictured on the front of the washer. The numbers correspond to the numbers on a dial, but that's as much as we've figured out. And we know that #9 is the final spin cycle. Have at it! See you back here next week!
